InfoWatch Group’s CEO Natalya Kasperskaya No. 1 on the Top 20 Women in Business in Northern Europe Ranking, Sari Baldauf No. 9

Ranking of the Top 20 Women in Business in Northern European was published today in Nordic Business Report. The Top 20 Women ranking covered the whole Northern Europe: Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The 23 jury members that compiled the ranking were gathered from different organization representatives of each nine countries.

The ranking includes very interesting women. Natalya Kasperskaya, the co-founder of Kaspersky Lab and the chief executive of the Russia-based transnational corporate data security firm InfoWatch Group, took the first place and Tatiana Bakalchuk, Russia’s third wealthiest woman and the owner of the country’s largest online clothing and footwear retail empire, Wildberries, became second.

There are two nominees from Finland, on the ninth spot there is Sari Baldauf, an entrepreneurial executive known for her board membership for several companies such as Fortum and Daimler, and on the 15th spot Maija-Liisa Friman, board chair of the Helsinki Deaconess Institute and Ekokem to name a few.

The essential criteria for evaluating possible candidates were: results achieved, business sense, originality, practicality and impact of their ideas, international outlook and responsibility in their actions. Each jury member organization built up a ranking of names from their own countries, and the final Top 20 Women ranking was a synthesis of these lists. At least one name from each country made it to the final ranking. Russia, Sweden and Norway dominate the ranking, with each country represented by 4 nominees.
