Love Notes from the Nordic Business Forum Community

Every year after our favorite two days of the year are over, we get a little bit of post-event blues. On the way back home, we find ourselves reminiscing: scrolling through the photos, posts, reflections, and messages people shared from the event.

They remind us that beyond the speakers and sessions, what people often remember most are the conversations between sessions, the atmosphere in the venue, the unexpected encounters, and the feeling of thousands of curious, ambitious, and like-minded people coming together to learn and grow.

While not-so-patiently waiting for this year’s event, we revisited some of the messages or “love notes” shared from Nordic Business Forum 2025. Here’s what our community (you!) loved the most:

Learning That Stays With You

Of course, first and foremost, people come to Nordic Business Forum to learn.

Often the most meaningful insights are not entirely new ideas. They are familiar ideas presented in a way that suddenly makes them feel relevant again or helps you see them from a different angle.

“The highlight, though, was listening to and seeing world-class speakers who not only shared insights we are all familiar with, but did so in a way that truly resonated and made those ideas matter.”Valerija Hirvilammi, Liaison Manager at Etelä-Pohjanmaan Kauppakamari

One attendee described it beautifully:

“What happens [at the event] is rather that you get great and skillfully and even entertainingly wrapped reminders of many important and relevant points of view, over which you pause in a completely different way than in everyday life.”Katri Kääriä, Co-Founder & CEO at Diamond Shapers Ltd

The learning often continues long after the sessions end: in discussions during lunch, in reflections shared with colleagues, and in the new perspectives people carry back into their everyday work.

“I really enjoyed the good organisation, the amazing speakers and the overall atmosphere that is totally built for growth and lifelong learning.”Helen Kaur, Chief Business Officer at Dimedium AS

The Conversations Between the Sessions

Besides learning, for many attendees Nordic Business Forum is also about connecting and reconnecting.
It’s seeing familiar faces again. Meeting someone you’ve followed online for years. Starting conversations with complete strangers that unexpectedly stay with you long afterwards.

“(…) this is one of the best events for networking—reconnecting with long-time colleagues, meeting new people, catching up with childhood friends, and even sharing a moment with my dear brother.” – Ville Jylhä, COO at Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa

“Inspiration fades, but encounters and emotions leave a lasting mark. Simon Sinek, Angela, Hape, Salla—the hugs, spontaneous conversations, and the moments that cannot be streamed.” – Tuija Rummukainen, Founder & CEO at Human Energy Oy

And perhaps that’s what makes in-person events still matter so much in a digital world. Some moments simply cannot be streamed.
The shared energy of thousands of people learning, thinking, and reflecting together creates something difficult to replicate elsewhere.

The Experience Behind the Event

For many attendees, what stood out wasn’t just what happened on stage. It was the feeling of the event.

“The Nordic Business Forum is always more than just an event – it’s an experience.” – Kalim Ul Masih, CEO of Phoenix Coaching.

“As a first-timer, I was completely amazed by how well the event was organized. The staff’s effort, kindness, and presence deserve a special mention.” – Kaisa Ranta, Sales Partner Manager at DNA Oyj

“It was a masterclass in user experience. Not because it shouted design, but because everything simply worked. Seamless, human, meaningful. The kind of experience you only truly reflect on after you’ve left.” – Oliwer Bäcklund, Quick Commerce Manager at Kesko

Many posts mentioned the same things: friendliness, attention to detail, and the feeling of being genuinely welcomed.
Sometimes the smallest moments leave the strongest impression: a staff member helping someone find their seat, an inspiring conversation over coffee, or simply the sense that every detail was thoughtfully considered.

“Special thanks to the staff – the endless friendliness, smiles, and willingness to help make the event a shining example of purpose-driven thinking which is truly conveyed to the customer. You make each customer feel special.” – Anna Bevz, CEO and Founder of Bolder Development Oy

We truly believe that for deep learning, the environment and experience matters almost as much as the insight itself.

More Than a Conference

Reading these reflections each year reminds us that Nordic Business Forum means different things to different people. For some, it’s a place to learn from world-class speakers. For others, it’s an opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, or gain clarity and momentum for the future.

But underneath it all is something deeply human: the desire to learn, connect, and grow together. One attendee perhaps captured the feeling best:

“I feel catered in my brain, body & soul. This is not the line to say after a business conference, but yet it is after Nordic Business Forum.”Laura Sticere, Head of Career Center at Swedbank Latvia

And maybe that’s exactly why these gatherings continue to matter so much.

“It’s more than a conference—it’s a reminder of what’s possible when people gather with the intention to learn, share, and grow.” – Mari-Liis Vaher, Founder of Powerful Marketers Hub
