Food Menu All Vegetarian at NBForum 2016

This year we wanted to pay even more attention to the sustainability of our conference menus and went full on vegetarian. The guests will be served with different veggie delicacies like the Finnish Pulled Oats.

The food we serve has always played an important role in our events. This year we want to offer our Nordic Business Forum 2016 guests a healthier and more sustainable menu by serving only vegetarian food at the seminar.

Our staff has carefully designed the menu together with the famous TV chef Jyrki Sukula and Fazer’s Anne Lundqvist. Local food products also play a role in the menu and the guests will get to taste for example the new Finnish meat substitute ‘pulled oats’.

Hans-Peter Siefen, CEO of Nordic Business Forum: “With the decision of going full vegetarian this year, we want to highlight the fact that choosing vegetarian food from time to time in our daily lives can have an enormous effect on the environment. We aim to make this veggie experience a positive surprise for our audience.”

Jyrki Sukula: “I think the NBForum organizers show courage with the decision to serve only vegetarian food throughout the seminar. The event is held during the best season, so the ingredients are fresh. It’s wonderful that we get to use high quality ingredients and the Finnish vegetarian protein innovations such as ‘Härkis’ made from broad beans and ‘Nyhtökaura’ made from pulled oats. This is a huge challenge for me as a professional chef, but at the same time it resonates with my working philosophy ‘without risks there are no big successes’.”

Anne Lundqvist, Fazer:”It is wonderful that we got to build the vegetarian menu to such a huge and international crowd together with NBForum. The demand for vegetarian food is growing and that is why we have also taken this into consideration in our food and recipe development at Fazer.”

Over 5,700 business people will be dining for two days at the Nordic Business Forum 2016. We have always been concerned about the environmental impact of our events. Since 2011, we have donated tree plants to compensate the carbon footprint of the annual Nordic Business Forum.
