Francesca Gino is an award-winning researcher and bestselling author, whose work centers around why people make the decisions they do at work, and how leaders and employees can lead more productive, creative and fulfilling lives.
She has been honored as one of the world’s Top 40 Business Professors under 40, and one of the world’s 50 Most Influential Management Thinkers by Thinkers 50.
Francesca is the author of the books Sidetracked: Why Our Decisions Get Derailed, and How We Can Stick to the Plan and most recently Rebel Talent: Why it Pays to Break the Rules in Work and Life. Her books have been translated into over a dozen languages.
In addition to research, writing, and teaching, Francesca advises firms and non-profit organizations in areas such as decision-making, leadership, and organizational behavior. Her clients include Bacardi, Disney, Goldman Sachs, and the U.S. Air Force and Navy.

Francesca is the Tandon Family Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where she has been teaching for the past 12 years. She has won several awards for her teaching, such as the HBS Faculty Award by Harvard Business School’s MBA Class of 2015.
Francesca has authored two successful books. Her most recent book “Rebel Talent” ended up on several top 10 lists, such as Forbe’s Top 10 Creative Leadership Books and Inc’s Most Inspiring Books. Her books have been translated into over a dozen languages.
