What Are the Best Interview Questions for Recruiting a Leader?

Hello leaders,

Recruiting is a high-value task, but not an easy one. So, to help me make better decisions, I decided to ask for help. I started to collect the best interview questions from people who have more experience in it than I do.

The question I asked these people was:

“What is your favorite recruitment question when you are recruiting someone for a management position in one of your companies (executive, C-level, or other responsible and significant management role)?”

The questions started flowing in, and pretty soon, I felt it would be nice to share them with our audience as well. So, here they are—all in one PDF. I hope these questions will be of value to you!

This PDF includes the favorite recruitment questions from leaders and entrepreneurs such as Sanna Suvanto-Harsaae, Risto Siilasmaa, Mikko Kuitunen, and Christina Dahlblom. The questions are divided according to the following themes:

  1. Career: How Did They Get Here?
  2. Personality: Who Are They?
  3. Leadership: How Do They Lead?
  4. Interpersonal Skills: How Do They Manage People?
  5. Values: Do They Fit the Company and the Role?

We hope these will help you make better recruitment decisions!
