Meet the Speakers of Nordic Business Forum 2022

We have 12 spectacular keynote speakers lined up for you this year! But who are they? How did they get here? Come along as we introduce the speakers, their work, and what made us invite them to this year’s Nordic Business Forum.

Yuval Noah Harari

Historian, Philosopher, Author

Professor Yuval Noah Harari is the author of international bestsellers Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow, and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. Yuval is currently a lecturer at the Department of History, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He originally specialized in world history, medieval history, and military history. His current research focuses on macro-historical questions.

At Nordic Business Forum 2022, he will discuss the most important skills for the future of work.

Joseph Stiglitz

Nobel Prize-Winning Economist, Former Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank

Joseph E. Stiglitz is a world-renowned economist and a professor at Columbia University. Joseph was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2001 and the John Bates Clark Medal in 1979. In 2011, he was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Known for his pioneering work on asymmetric information, Stiglitz’s research focuses on income distribution, climate change, corporate governance, public policy, macroeconomics, and globalization. He is also the author of numerous books including—most recently—People, Power, and Profits, Rewriting the Rules of the European Economy, and Globalization and Its Discontents Revisited.

At Nordic Business Forum, he will share his view on what is ahead of us, and how to deal with it from a macroeconomic point of view.

Amy Edmondson

World’s #1 Management Thinker, HBS Professor

Amy C. Edmondson is the Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at Harvard Business School. She’s a renowned expert on organizational learning and leadership and the #1 ranked thinker in the world by Thinkers50 (2021).

She studies teaming, psychological safety, and organizational learning. Her most recent book, The Fearless Organization, offers a practical guide for organizations serious about success in the modern economy and has been translated into 11 languages.

Her keynote at NBF 2022 explores how to create a fearless organization.

Rutger Bregman

Historian, Bestselling Author

Rutger Bregman is a historian and author. He has published five books on history, philosophy, and economics. His books Humankind (2020) and Utopia for Realists (2017) were both New York Times Bestsellers and have been translated into more than 40 languages. Rutger has also been nominated twice for the prestigious European Press Prize for his work at The Correspondent.

Rutger will talk about the ROI of an optimistic view on people at NBF 2022.

Erin Meyer

Bestselling Author, Professor at INSEAD

Erin’s work focuses on how the world’s most successful leaders navigate the complexities of cultural differences in a multicultural environment. Especially now, she is relevant for being the co-author of No Rules Rules with Reed Hastings, CEO at Netflix, which has become an NYT bestseller and FT short-listed best business book of 2020.

Erin is also the author of the bestselling book The Culture Map. In 2021, she was selected by the Thinkers50 as one of the fifty most influential business thinkers in the world. She is a Professor of Management Practice in the Organizational Behaviour Department at INSEAD and specializes in the field of cross-cultural management, organizational culture, intercultural negotiations, and multi-cultural leadership.

At NBF 2022, Erin’s keynote introduces how to lead, negotiate, and get things done across the world.

Martin Lindstrom

Branding Expert, Bestselling Author

Martin Lindstrom is recognized as one of the world’s leading business, branding, and culture transformation experts. His cutting-edge research in behavioral psychology and his New York Times-bestselling books are reshaping how organizations approach innovation, culture, and business transformation. Martin is the founder and chairman of Lindstrom Company, the world’s leading brand and culture transformation group, operating across five continents and more than 30 countries.

Martin will be discussing how to build a brand for the 2030s in his keynote at NBF 2022.

Jitske Kramer

Corporate Anthropologist, Entrepreneur, Keynote Speaker

Jitske Kramer is a corporate anthropologist—she asks and answers what it means to be a human among humans in organizations and beyond. Jitske is also a bestselling author of Deep Democracy, Jam Cultures, Work Has Left the Building, and The Corporate Tribe. Her books are about discovering how people can be good together. Jitske focuses on figuring out how we can build strong tribes that are safe for differences and ready for change. She also discusses how we can work and live well together, even with people we might not like.

Jitske’s keynote at NBF 2022 concentrates on building a future-proof corporate tribe.

Petter Stordalen

Investor, Hotel Owner, Property Developer, Environmentalist

Petter Anker Stordalen is a Norwegian investor, hotel owner, property developer, and environmentalist. He is a self-made businessman who started out selling strawberries for his merchant father as a child.

Petter is the CEO and owner of investment holding company Strawberry Group and the owner of one of the largest hotel chains in the Nordics, Nordic Choice Hotels. In 2019, he bought Kämp Collection Hotels in Helsinki, the travel company Tjäreborg, and Sunclass Airlines. The same year he also created Nordic Leisure Travel Group.

Professor of Marketing at the Yale School of Management, Bestselling author

Zoe Chance wants to get inside your head. More specifically, the Yale School of Management professor wants to help good people and businesses do good in the world. The more we understand what influences decision-making, the more we can make better decisions.

Through the lens of behavioral economics, Chance studies and teaches persuasion and decision-making, focusing on simple ways to understand how to help others lead richer, healthier, happier lives.

Duncan Wardle

2022 Speaker Contest Winner and Former Head of Innovation & Creativity at Disney

Now, delivering a series of keynotes, workshops and ideation forums, his unique Innovation Toolkit helps companies embed a culture of innovation into everyone’s DNA. Kristel Kruustük

Co-Founder and Board Director at Testlio

Kristel Kruustük, is the co-founder of Testlio, a testing software startup. Nominated ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2017 in Estonia, she’s the youngest female millionaire in the country and a prominent figure in the European tech industry.

At the event, Kristel will be having a discussion with Miki Kuusi about the future of work.

Miki Kuusi

Head of International of DoorDash, CEO of Wolt

Miki Kuusi is the co-founder & CEO of Wolt and Head of International for DoorDash. Founded in 2014, Wolt is a Helsinki-based technology company that makes it incredibly easy to get the most popular restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to the home or office in 23 countries. Wolt joined forces with DoorDash in June 2022. Previously, Miki was the co-founder & CEO of the technology conference Slush and worked on titles such as Clash of Clans and Hay Day at the mobile gaming company Supercell.

At the event, Miki will be having a discussion with Kristel Kruustük about the future of work.
